Modern Yoga Philosophy

I don't understand — you never want what's true.
You want what you don't have. You don't want what you have...
and so you suffer ... and continue to suffer.
It is so perplexing why not simply reverse it?
Why not want what you have?
And not want what you don't have?
It is so simple you could be happy. Freedom is here for the taking.
You want the little things and you could have eternity.

Nisargatta Maharaj speaking to his students
(as relayed by Jack Kornfield)

Center of Timeless Being
The Center of Timeless Being is dedicated to the path of self-inquiry and to all who aspire to awaken to their true nature as the formless sacred mystery of Being that underlies all of life.

The Center of Timeless Being, founded and directed by Richard Miller, PhD, offers satsangs, intensives, retreats, and special trainings. Richard’s teachings come out of his direct experience of living truth. He gracefully embodies the nondual teachings of yoga and is able to communicate them in a way that is utterly clear and totally joyful. His retreats and trainings are highly recommended!

Richard is the author of Yoga Nidra: The Meditative Heart of Yoga. His Yoga Nidra protocol is currently being researched at Walter Reed Army Hospital for its healing effects on soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome.

Pathless Yoga

Pathless Yoga offers nondual yoga retreats with Joan Ruvinsky in Montreal and other Candian and US cities.

In 1989, after 13 years of attempts at path-finding, Joan Ruvinsky met Jean Klein, who, having never taken himself to be a teacher, eliminated the need to be a student, to have a path, a method or a goal. At home in these nondual wisdom teachings, Joan shares body sensing yoga, conversation and presence at her center Pathless Yoga — La voie sans voie in Montreal and at retreats and workshops in other states and provinces.

Be sure to read the interview with Joan conducted by Jean-Claude Leblond for Yoga Mondo, a Quebec yoga magazine. Retreats with Joan are highly recommended!

PremYoga

PremYoga & Wellness Center was founded to teach traditional yoga practices to people who want to eliminate suffering and attain real freedom. Prem is a Sanskrit word that means "unconditional love". As yoga has become more and more popular in the U.S., the values of modern life have begun to transform yoga into just another means for chasing artificial desires - for many people yoga has become just another fitness fad. At Prem Yoga, we seek to shine the traditional light of unconditional love on your practice of yoga so you can quiet your mind, tone your body, and burn away artificial desires in the bonfire of true service and devotion.
